Musanze – 13 May 2024

Ten officers from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF) and nine officers from the Rwanda National Police (RNP) are currently attending the Child Protection Focal Points (CPFP) Course on Prevention of Recruitment and Use of Children in Armed Violence, at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA).

The course is jointly organized by the Ministry of Defence, the Rwanda Defence Force, the Dallaire Institute for Children, Peace and Security, and the Rwanda Peace Academy.  

The objective of the course is to provide a framework of common understanding regarding the implementation of Child Protection Focal Point training in the Rwanda Defence Force and Rwanda National Police. The course will run from 13 - 17 May 2024.
