Integrated Mission Planning Course Ends

The Integrated Mission Planning (IMP) Course that started on 12 March 2018 ended on Friday 23 March 2018. The official closing ceremony was attended by Col. Claus Pedersen, the Technical Adviser at the Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) Secretariat, Maj. Marcel Mbabazi, the Head of Training at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) and facilitators. The course was officially closed by the Joint Chief of Staff at the EASF Planning Element, Maj Gen Charles Rudakubana, on behalf of the EASF Director. A total of thirty (30) military, police and civilian officers from eight (8) Eastern Africa Standby Force member states namely: Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Sudan and Uganda attended the IMP Course. The course sought to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills on the role and conduct of the mission planning and integration in a multinational and multidisciplinary environment, in order to enable them to perform fully and effectively as Staff Officers in future EASF deployments.
