INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS LAW IN PEACE SUPPORT OPERATIONS COURSE BEGAN TODAY AT THE RWANDA PEACE ACADEMY

Twenty-seven (27) officers from the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), Rwanda National Police (RNP), Rwanda Correctional Service (RCS), and civilian officers from various institutions in Rwanda are currently attending the International Human Rights Law (IHRL) in Peace Support Operations (PSO) Course at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) in Musanze. The ongoing course will run up to 7 November 2025 and is organized in partnership between the Rwanda Peace Academy and the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Office in Rwanda.

The course was officially opened by the Director of the Rwanda Peace Academy, Col (Rtd) Jill Rutaremara. Present at the opening ceremony were the Human Rights Officer at the UN Country Office in Rwanda, Mr. Evaristus Ntani Ngoran and course facilitators.
