Sexual and Gender Based Violence Course Opens at the Rwanda Peace Academy

The regional course entitled “Sexual and Gender Based Violence” started today Monday, 30 November 2020 at the Rwanda Peace Academy (RPA) training facility in Musanze and will run up to 4 December 2020. The course is organized in partnership between the Rwanda Peace Academy, the Government of Japan and the United Nations Development Programme. It was officially opened by Colonel (Rtd) Jill Rutaremara, the Director of the Rwanda Peace Academy.

A total of 28 military, police and civilian personnel from six (6) Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) member states, namely: Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia and Sudan are attending the course.
